Rear Suspension Control Arms Removal for 1994 to 2000 Acura?

The control arms are not interchangeable. Note the paint markings.
  1. Remove the negative battery cable.
  2. Lift and properly support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the tire assembly.
  4. Remove the Antilock Brake System (ABS) sensor wire.
  5. Remove the hub assembly to lower control arm bolt.
  6. On the Integra, remove the shock to lower control arm bolt.
  7. Remove the lower control arm to frame bolt(s)
  8. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  9. Have the vehicle's alignment checked and adjusted, if necessary.

  1. Remove the control arm from the vehicle.
  2. Mark on the machined surface of the lower arm to show where the bushing is in line with the gaps on the inter ring.
  3. Place the control arm on the press with the machined surface facing down.
  4. Adjust the press so that the bushing driver matches the inner diameter of the bushing hole, then tighten the socket bolt securely.
  5. Position the bushing driver on the bushing.
  6. Apply pressure and remove the bushing.
To install:
  1. Position the lower arm bushing by aligning the gap of the bushing with the mark on the control arm.
  2. Install the control arm in the vehicle.
