How to Replace Door locks on 2007 Ford Taurus?


The instructions are similar for 2006 and 2007 ford Taurus Car models.

The details to replace door locks is as follows : ----
Locks & Lock Systems
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION procedure is mentioned below: ---

Door Locks
Power Door Locks
Motor
Front Door
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  3. Remove the front door trim panel screws.
    NOTE
    To release the door trim panel two part pin-type retainers, first pull outward on the bottom of the door trim panel.

  4. Remove the front door trim panel.
  5. Position the watershield aside.
  6. Disconnect the interior door handle cable guide.
  7. Remove the window glass run channel bolt.

  8. Remove the bolts and position the center window glass support aside.

  9. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod.
  10. If equipped, unclip the lock rod from the lock cylinder.
  11. Remove the door latch bolts.

  12. Disconnect the electrical connector(s).
  13. Position the front door latch and cable assembly aside.
  14. Remove the door ajar switch as follows:
    1. Lift the locking tab at the lower end.
    2. Rotate the door ajar switch counterclockwise.
    3. Remove the door ajar switch.

  15. Remove the door lock actuator as follows:
    1. Lift the locking tab.
    2. Slide the actuator off the latch assembly.

  16. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    NOTE
    When installing the door lock actuator, the actuating lever must engage the actuating pin.
Rear Door
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  3. Remove the five rear door trim panel screws.
    NOTE
    To release the door trim panel two part pin-type retainers, first pull outward on the bottom of the door trim panel.

  4. Remove the rear door trim panel.
  5. Disconnect the window regulator control switch electrical connector.
  6. Position the watershield aside.
    CAUTION
    When removing the rivet's center pin, use care not to damage the door panel sheet metal.
  7. Remove the lock rod bell crank rivet, and discard the bushing.

  8. Disconnect the push button lock rod from the bellcrank.
  9. Unclip and disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod.
  10. Remove the bolts, and position the rear door latch aside.

  11. Remove the cover, and disconnect the rear door lock actuator cable.
  12. Disconnect the electrical connector(s).
  13. Remove the rear door latch.
  14. Remove the door ajar switch as follows:
    1. Lift the locking tab at the lower end.
    2. Rotate the door ajar switch counterclockwise.
    3. Remove the door ajar switch.

  15. Remove the door lock actuator as follows:
    1. Lift the locking tab.
    2. Slide the actuator off the latch assembly.

  16. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    NOTE

Switch
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  3. Remove the front door trim panel screws.
    NOTE
    To release the door trim panel two part pin-type retainers, first pull outward on the bottom of the door trim panel.

  4. Remove the front door trim panel.
  5. Remove the door lock control switch.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
