Flywheel Replacing procedure for 2.3L engine?

The procedure is similar for both Ford, Lincoln and Mercury car models:----

 Flywheel

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

2.3L Engine

1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
2. Remove the manual transaxle and clutch, as outlined in the Drive Train Section.
3. Remove the 6 bolts and the flywheel.

To install:

NOTE

Special bolts are used for installation. Do not use standard bolts.

1. Install the flywheel and tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in 3 stages: 
   
   
   Step 1: Tighten to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm)

   Step 2: Tighten to 59 ft. lbs. (80 Nm)

   Step 3: Tighten to 83 ft. lbs. (112)

2. Install the clutch and manual transaxle.
