Where is freeze plug located on Chevrolet Impala?

There are several of them. They are on the sides of the engine block. If you look from underneath, you may be able to see 1 or 2. They will be a round disk about 1 1/4" in diameter. They are usually partially or fully covered by exhaust manifolds, starter, A/C compressor, etc. Hard to see, even harder to replace.

Freeze plug cost approx $2 each, fitting them is difficult because some are very hard to reach. Freeze plug drive in and force fit into the opening.
They do make temporary ones that are made of a hard rubber that have a bolt in the middle. As you tighten the bolt, they expand and force fit themselves against the sides of the opening.

If you need to see the diagram then go through this :-----
